Please review the terms and conditions of service for CATRINANDES RETREAT CENTER (CATRINANDES).
We ask you to give close attention to these and particularly to health and safety precautions and cancellation policies. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions please suspend the booking process.
A 25% deposit is required to confirm your booking or hire CATRINANDES.
The remaining balance is due 15 days before arrival.
The deposit is non-refundable but can be used as credit for a future retreat within one year of the original booking.
No-shows or last-minute cancellations (within 48 hours of arrival) will forfeit all payments made.
Retreat dates may be rescheduled based on availability, provided notice is given at least 15 days before arrival.
Refunds are not issued for early departures or unused services.
Check-in (standard): 15:00 PM – 9:00 PM (later arrivals must be communicated).
Check-out (standard): By 12:30 PM.
Guests must leave the property in good condition, completing specified cleaning tasks. Different check in and check out times may be possible upon prior agreement with CATRINANDES’ team.
Guests are responsible for any damages caused by them or their group. Adequate insurance is recommended. The retreat center owner is not liable for lost or stolen items.
Participation in activities is at the guest’s own risk.The retreat center owner is not responsible for programs content or any health-related issues arising from the stay.
The retreat center owner is not liable for external disruptions (weather, power outages, etc.) or for guests’ personal belongings.
Please respect quiet hours: 21:30h - 7:00h.
No outside shoes allowed beyond entrance. Slippers provided.
No pets allowed (unless agreed). Unauthorized pets result in booking cancellation with full charge.
No smoking or alcoholic beverages consumption indoors. Smoking outside is permitted in designated areas.
A high speed Wi-Fi just for guests is available and the password will be provided upon arrival. Guests are responsible for all online activities.
Independent chefs can be recommended for vegetarian/vegan meals and special dietary needs. Billed separately.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, travel restrictions, etc.), bookings may be rescheduled without penalty.
CATRINANDES is a retreat center, a home, and not a hotel or hospital. Guests are fully responsible for their physical and mental wellbeing during their stay. If you have any important health concerns, injuries or allergies then please inform us via email upon booking, ahead of arrival so that we can best serve you. It is advisable to have travel insurance.
Food is usually served as a buffet. If you have a special dietary request please contact us beforehand to see if we can accommodate your needs.
All personal data is treated with complete confidentiality. Photos and text on the website or in flyers serve as a realistic description. However the right to change the equipment (e.g. furniture), provided they are equivalent, is reserved.
Should some or more provisions of these terms and conditions become ineffective, this does not affect the effectiveness of the remaining conditions. The ineffective regulation is to be replaced by an effective one that comes as close as possible to the economic and legal will of the contracting parties. Portuguese law applies. The place of jurisdiction and performance is Portugal.

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the respective courts.
Consumers can file complaints in the physical or electronic Complaint Book.
Alternatively, arbitration services are available for dispute resolution.
